About ClearingPros
Ontario's trusted land clearing specialists.
Our Story
ClearingPros was built on a straightforward principle: Ontario property owners deserve a clearing company that communicates honestly, shows up when it says it will, and delivers the quality of work it promises. That commitment to transparency and professionalism is what defines how we operate on every project — from a small residential lot to a large multi-acre clearing.
Over the years we've built a reputation across Ontario for doing clean, careful work across a wide range of property types and terrain. Our crews understand what quality looks like — protecting vegetation that's meant to stay, minimizing soil disturbance, and leaving a site in a condition ready for whatever comes next. We take that standard seriously on every job, regardless of size.
We also believe that pricing should be transparent before the conversation even starts. Our online estimator lets property owners get a realistic cost range instantly — no phone tag, no waiting for a callback. It reflects our belief that trust is built through openness, not through managing information.
What We Specialize In
We are a dedicated land clearing company focused exclusively on clearing and site preparation. Our specializations:
- Forestry mulching — our primary method on most Ontario properties. Single-pass clearing that mulches vegetation in place, protects topsoil, and eliminates hauling cost.
- Site clearing for construction — full site prep for builders, developers, and individual homeowners. We coordinate with surveyors and builders to deliver cleared, graded sites ready for construction.
- Brush clearing and undergrowth removal — maintaining forest edges, reclaiming overgrown fields, and clearing view corridors on developed properties.
- Stump grinding — grinding stumps below grade after tree removal. We handle everything from a few stumps on a residential lot to dozens of stumps on a cleared acreage.
Our Equipment Fleet
The right equipment for the terrain makes the difference between a clean, efficient clearing job and a project that takes twice as long and causes unnecessary ground disturbance. Our fleet includes:
- Forestry mulchers (tracked and wheeled): Our primary clearing machines for vegetation up to 30 cm diameter. Tracked carriers for rocky terrain and slopes; wheeled carriers for flat accessible ground where speed is the priority.
- Excavators (20-tonne class): For stump removal, site grading, ditch construction, and boulder handling on rocky terrain.
- Skid steers with mulcher attachments: For tight access situations — narrow gates, close quarters near buildings, and properties where a full-size tracked mulcher can't maneuver.
- Brush cutters and disc mowers: For light-duty brush clearing and undergrowth removal where trees are to be preserved.
- Stump grinders (walk-behind and machine-mounted): Walk-behind units for tight residential lots and small-diameter stumps; machine-mounted grinders for large-diameter stumps on clearing sites.
We own our equipment — we don't rent for your project. This means we control scheduling, maintenance, and reliability. When we commit to a start date, we show up with our equipment on that date.
Our Service Areas
Our primary service areas are Muskoka cottage country (including Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, and Huntsville), and Barrie and Innisfil in Simcoe County. We travel for larger projects — contact us if your property is outside these areas.
Insurance and Credentials
ClearingPros carries comprehensive general liability insurance and full WSIB coverage for all crew members. We are registered with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario (WSIB) and maintain current certificates of clearance. We are familiar with Ontario conservation authority regulations, municipal tree bylaws, and shoreline buffer requirements across all our service areas.
We'll provide our WSIB clearance certificate and proof of insurance to any client or municipality that requests it. Don't hire a clearing company that can't provide these — you may be held liable for injuries or damage if they aren't covered.
Our Commitment to Your Property
A cleared property is not a damaged property. We're acutely aware that land clearing done carelessly can cause lasting harm — compacted soils, eroded slopes, destabilized root systems on retained trees, and damaged shoreline buffers. We train our operators to work with the property's natural drainage, minimize soil disturbance, and leave the cleared area in a condition that recovers quickly and supports whatever you build or plant next.
We comply with all applicable conservation authority regulations and municipal bylaws. If a permit is required for your project, we'll tell you before we start — not after.
